Hello all,
First of all sorry, i'm speaking english but my german is not (yet) good enough to ask questions.
I see here a lot of test called like ppt skt rot etc. Can someone tell me where to find these abbreviations and what kind of tests they represent.
You can also add a link. Tx |

Hi Learjet!
This isn't a problem 'cause everyone in this forum is able to speak proper english ;)
You have to pass several tests at the DLR center:
VMC: Visual Memory Capacity (you have to keep a lot of symbols in mind)
RMS: Running memory span (you have to keep a lot of numbers in mind)
PPT: Point Position Test (you have choose a right net of a cube, to rebuild an existing cube (difficult to explain^^..)
OWT: (like) optical recognizing test: You have to read different clocks in a short time
MIC: Monitoring and Instrument Coordination: It's a kind of simulator, you have to manage a lot of tasks at the same time.
KRN: mental arithmetic (nothing to say about this one)
ROT: You keep a symbol on a cube in your mind, than it rotates and after that you have to say, where the symbol is!
RAG, TVT, TEC, ENG are tests where you have to handle with english grammar, speech, physics and math!
If you apply for apprenticeship as pilot, you will get a nickname and a password for the official DLR Page. There you are able to download some kind of "test training", so you have the opportunity to learn for the tests --> So don't worry! =D
Kind regards! |

What are the requirements for physics and math? (is already a long time ago for me).
I'm already a pilot and giving a shot for lufthi regional.
