Hey alle, ich habe AB auch als mein erster "Wahl", so zu sagen. Even though LH pay a lot better (or so it seams) the chances of making and having a good career are better at AB than at LH. AB has grown massively over the past couple of years and the chances there are better (It's my job to analyse companies, and economacially seen, AB is CURRENTLY in a better position as LH)

@MGM: Do you want to might give us some more facts? Hasn't Lufthansa grown massively too in the past years? Isn't their global size and influence more advantaging than AirBerlins more rapid expansion speed?

that is a good question. (by the way, was impressed with how good your english was!) LH has grown a lot in the past few years. That's true. In my job that i currently do, i analyse companies and their position and i tell people whether they should invest their hard earned cashed somewhere. From a Banking viewpoint, i believe that the "cheaper" flying market will exceed more costly alternatives. I mean, look at the massive sucess Ryan Air and Easy Jet have had? Ist doch wahnsinnig! Aber ein Problem noch ist, was passiert, sollte die Regierung sagen "naja, Umwelt und so ne sch... lass uns einfach die Preise ein bisschen hohe machen" ... ich glaube sowas passiert schon (?) denn wird AB wahrscheinlich Problem begegnen. Also, another very important point (from my point of view anyway) is where will you feel the most happiest. I know a lot of pilots and managers at both companies and the general vibe that is get is LH Pilots generally are very strict and don't have much fun. AB on the other hand seam to enjoy work more and the working enviroment is better. We need to ignore of course when one works as Standby, because that's crap irrespective to which company one works for.....

but to be plain frank, it doesn't matter whether one works for AB or LH ... if flying is really your passion, then you will be grateful for the job at the front on the right-hand-side
