Lufthansa Cargo ?

Hi bin neu hier.
Mein traum ist Pilot zu werden, wie jede hier auch. Bin in Deutschand seit 1 jahr und wurde gern für Lufhansa arbeiten. Komme aus Indien and habe ein Deutsches pass.
Mein frage ist.. sagt das besser in English

To work for Lufthansa Cargo, do you have to do something totally different than working for a commercial airline ? I mean people who want to work for commercial airlines make a test, go to phoenix and are trained there. Is it also the same for people who want to work for Lufthansa Cargo. I mean the test and the training ?

And what do you guys think, is commercial Airlines better or Cargo ?

I think that, to work for LH Cargo, you can go that way:
you apply for LH Passage than go through the "normal" training for LH Passage pilots. After that you work for LH Passage some years and with a certain amound of flight-hours, you can apply intern the company for Cargo. (Without any guarantees )

Most Cargo-Pilot-Blogs (like http://freighterdog.blogspot.com/) say to fly for LH Cargo was much better than flying for Passage. If Lufthansa gives me the chance I want think of doing the training and going to Cargo after the training and some professional experiances ... think it's pretty nice ^^

Answer is pretty much the same as the one above:

2 Ways:

a: you apply for Lufthansa pilot-trainingship, fly for Lufthansa Passage or Germanwings. LHC requires a minimum flight time of 1000h which is about the same as 1 1/2 years of flying.

b: you do the whole training at any flight school and as soon as you have the required 1000h you apply for a job at LHC. Only problem there is: LHC usually recruits from within Lufthansa, Ready - Entries are, as long as there is no acute need for pilots, secondary. U might find that door closed when you finished training.
