I saw many threads on pprune with respect to APS. Just search for it.
At the same time please have a look at Sky4U and their former partners. Some did a good research job. Beware of them.

APS is ok, gives you big insight. Almost half a type rating. But don't do it at Sky4u. Can't trust them. Simtech and Virtual good. AFTA too
